The first Cruisin’ Nocona Collector Car
Auction . held by the Vicari Auction Company in north Texas, brought in some
$2.6 million in sales as more than 80 percent of the 115 collectible cars and
trucks featured in the sale went to new homes. The star car of the sale was a
*63 Corvette Z06, one of 199 Z06 coupes, made that year. In storage since the
'80s and showing just 38,000 original miles, the Vette sold for $260,000.
Another rare Corvette, a *62 fuelie convertible with the "big
brake" racing parts option package, was the number-two seller at
$150,000
